Kitchen and Residential Design.com is giving away a $900 Blomberg dishwasher with an optional Metallo Arts custom panel

May 3rd giveaway is result of collaboration between design blog and two appliance manufacturers

Kitchen and Residential Design, St. Petersburg, FL-based kitchen designer Paul Anater’s daily design blog; and Blomberg, the German manufacturer of luxury dishwashers, clothes washers and refrigerators, have teamed up to commemorate Blomberg’s attendance at 2009’s K/BIS, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show.

Beginning on Wednesday, 15 April 2009, kitchen design fans are encouraged to direct their browsers to the landing page of Paul Anater’s daily design blog, Kitchen and Residential Design. Once there, they can enter for a chance to win a Blomberg DW361 by leaving a comment that says “I want a Blomberg Dishwasher!” Interested parties can also register for the drawing at Blomberg’s K/BIS booth, C1918 in the Georgia World Congress Center.

On the afternoon of 3 May 2009, all of the entrants’ names from both KitchenAndResidentialDesign.com and the Blomberg trade show booth will be added together and a winner will be selected at random. The winner will then have the option to select a Blomberg DW361 with a stainless steel front panel or a Blomberg DW36100, a panel-ready model. If the lucky winner selects the DW36100, he or she will then qualify for an additional prize of a $1500 custom dishwasher panel from Metallo Arts, Inc.

This is a prize with a potential value of $2500, and what a way to welcome Blomberg to KBIS!

About Blomberg

Blomberg is new to the US, but they’ve been a German brand since 1883. Blomberg is owned by Arçelik, the Turkish conglomerate who sell appliances in over 100 countries around the world.
All Blomberg dishwashers have stainless steel interiors and all of them feature an in-line water heating system. Unlike most American dishwashers which have heating elements inside of them. These elements waste energy, make the wash cycles take too long and prevent a dishwasher from attaining an optimal temperature. An in-line heating system has no heating element, instead the water is heated directly as it’s piped into the machine. This maintains a water temperature of 165 degrees while using far less energy. No heating element also means that you can place plastic ware in the lower rack.
Blomberg dishwashers are the quietest on the market due to their unique, three-layer insulation system. Their dishwashers have an on-board water filtration system and some models have a built in water softener. The racks inside are fully adjustable and in a tip of the hat to appliance installers everywhere, a Blomberg dishwasher’s rear leveling legs are adjustable from the front of the machine. If you’ve ever wrestled with a dishwasher installation, that’s a very welcome feature. www.blomberginternational.com

About Metallo Arts

Metallo Arts is an independent appliance manufacturer with roots in the fine arts. The company first made waves two years ago with the launch of a unique line of heavy-gauge steel range hoods with designs inspired by architectural metalwork. Since then, the company has maintained an intensive schedule of development, releasing new product lines several times a year. Most recently, the company has branched out into kitchen surfaces with its unique “slip-cast” pewter and zinc countertops; and outdoor furniture with its garden benches and zinc planter boxes. www.metalloarts.com
